Patrick F. "Rick" Stringer grew up on Folly Beach attending Blessed Sacrament Grade School and then graduating from Bishop England High School. In 1969, he graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.  He graduated from the University of South Carolina Schoool of Law in 1973, cum laude.  During law school, Rick was on the South Carolina Law Review, a member of the Moot Court, on the Dean's List and a member of the Order of Wig and Robe.  From 1977-1978, Rick was the Municipal Recorder for the City of Folly Beach.  He started his law practice in 1973 with his father, Lester Edwin Stringer; later he practiced with Ben Peeples and now he is semi-retired after practicing alongside his daughter, Liz.  He is enjoying his semi-retirement by doing the things he loves--shark fishing, playing drums and enjoying his grandchildren.
